Selling Gold in Thousand Oaks, CA
Situated in southeastern Ventura County, California, The City of Thousand Oaks, CA (nicknamed T.O. by inhabitants) owes its name to the wealth of oak trees that adorn its lands. It was created as part of a master planned city (in which a city is carefully planned from inception rather than built ad hoc) by Janss Investment Company. Initiated in the 1950s, the city was finally incorporated on 7th October, 1964. In 2006, Money magazine named Thousand Oaks, CA as one of the best places to live and at present real estate is very expensive in the city. Once inhabited by the Chumash Native Americans, cave drawings dating from 2000 years age can still be viewed at the Chumash Interpretive Center. Thousand Oaks, CA has a long recorded history dating back to when Juan Redriguez Cabrillo landed there in 1542 and claimed the land as Spanish. It was also a part of the stagecoach route between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara in the late 19th Century and the Stagecoach Inn (built in 1876) still stands as a landmark and popular museum.
