The city of San Jose, CA was incorporated in march 1850, but it was founded in november 1777 as Pueblo de San Jose. This was the first town in the Spanish colony of Nueva California. After 1990s San Jose, CA got its nick name as capital of Silicon Valley due to booming local technology industries.
