Originally Mission Viejo located in California was a region which consisted mostly of hills was mostly used for cattle & sheep to graze. The farmers used this area for grazing since it was mostly hills it served as no use for the farmers to do anything with it. Because the area was mostly made of hills this area was last to urbanize. Many developers considered this land undevelopable until the early 70s when a man by the name of David Brenner came up with a plan to create roads in the valley and houses on the hills. The plan was a huge success and the design of the houses and buildings are mostly of adobe. The development is also known as The California Promise and currently home to over 100,000 people.
