Minneapolis, MN is also known to be the city of the lakes, bordering the Mississipi river and the Minnesota river, the town is abundant in lakes (over 20), creeks, ponds and waterfalls. The first people on the land were the Sioux, later came the french and finally the United States army that built a fort there. By the second half of the IXX century, Minneapolis, MN was already an american city. Nowadays the town businesses are great, Target Corporation, U.S. Bancorp, Xcel Energy, Ameriprise Financial, and Thrivent Financial for Lutherans have their headquarters here. As for the arts, Minneapolis, MN is the city with more theaters and plays, second only to New York. Musically is the hometown of many great bands including The Replacements, but perhaps the citys most recognizable son is singer and composer Prince. And we dont even start with sports yet. Minneapolis has given the Baseball Hall of Fame 15 players and the teams the Twins and the Vikings are well stablished in fame in both of their areas. Needless to say, with all that water around, the ladscapes are gorgeous, no doubt about it, a beautiful, vibrant place to be.
