The city of Killen is located in the Bell County, Texas, USA. Spread over a total area of 35.4 square miles, the city is home to over 100,000 people and more than 30,000 families. A relatively small farming town till the 1940s Killen experienced a dramatic change when Camp Hood was created as a military training post to meet the demands of the Second World War. Interestingly, the king of pop, Elvis Presley was stationed here for a short duration. In the year 1991, during the Kuwait War, the city sent thousands of troops to the battle field. Though a relatively family town Killen was went through a tough struggle with law and order in the city, unfortunately surpassing both Houston and Detroit in crime rates. Things have changed since then and the 2 guards of the Killen City, namely the Fire and the Police department are doing their best to protect the citizens.
