Selling Gold in Dallas, TX
Settled in 1841 by the Tennessee native John Neely Bryan, Dallas, TX was originally a 640-acre settlement with 20 streets and a courthouse. During the 1870s the railroad came to Dallas, as did the Federal Reserve Bank in 1914. These additions would help the city grow, and by the 1930s became a center for oil-related activities, as well as financial and technology endeavors. However, Dallas may best be known for its role in President John F. Kennedys assassination, as the former leader of the United States was killed in the city on November 22, 1963. Today Dallas has grown to be one of the largest five metropolitan areas in the United States, with 34 inches of rain a year and an average temperature of 65 degrees. The area has a major airport, professional sports teams, and various other drawing cards as a notable city in the state of Texas.
