The city derived its name from a companys name, which was selected after considering and rejection of several earlier proposals. For promoting the township development, the landmark Covered Bridge was built in the year of 1964. The city enhances its infrastructural and industrial sectors rapidly thereafter, and becomes a home to many reputed industries. Currently, the city is a county seat of Broward County, and holds fantastic position in the US.
