City of Augusta is a historical city which is situated at Georgia.In 1735 it was considerd as a part of British colony. The colony founder is James Oglethorpe. But now Augusta is the second-largest city in the Georgia and also the largest city amoung the river area. The name Augusta is first called by the native Americans due to the location of the city which is a river crossing area.this city is found at the slops of the Savannah river. The historical background of the city is that Augusta city is surrounded bye the tribes of creek and cherokee indians.They makes the city peaceful. In 1739 a road is constructed for a connection between Augusta and Savannah.this made the transportation easier. They used Hourses and Boats for travelling.The Saint Pauls is the first Church in Augusta constructed in 1750. This city has a great contribution to the American revolution and the Civil war. This city has also relation with second World War.
