Tennessee is one of the older states of the USA, it became part of the union in 1796 as is 16th state. Its was named after a Native American tribes village and river, Tanasqui or Tanasie. It is known for its humid subtropic climate and its capital, Nashville, is home to country music. In the early years, Tennessee was the last state to leave the union during the civil war, and once it was over, it was the first to join back. Music lovers would love Tennessee because it is home to the Country Music Hall of Fame, and Grace Land, the once home of Elvis Presley. There is also a theme park called Dollywood, after Dolly Parton. Tennessee, also known as the Volunteer State, is a great state to visit whos major industries include tourism, agriculture, and manufacturing.
